Gift Mposi

Gift and his wife Abigail have three daughters and are members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Zimbabwe. Jacqueline, their eldest daughter, is pursuing a statistics degree with a local university. Nicole, their second daughter, has applied overseas to study marine biology. Their youngest, Ivy, is in high school.

Gift is a highly qualified aircraft maintenance engineer. In addition to taking care of their daughters, Abigail does non-profit work as church youth director, children’s ministry director, pathfinder director, and is the treasurer for the annual church camp committee.

Gift is touched by news items about people who are vulnerable and displaced. When he read MAF’s purpose and vision, it resonated with his passion for saving lives and souls through Christ. He knew he wanted to serve the Lord and do the work he was trained to do. After completing the online application, he was ecstatic when he was invited to write the MAF knowledge competency assessment. With the support of his family and church colleagues, Gift is proceeding with the comprehensive selection process and is looking forward to being part of MAF and saving lives through the maintenance of MAF aircraft that fly to remote places. He says, “I love the Flying for Life statement on MAF aeroplanes.”

Once his recruitment journey is complete, he will be placed where he best fits in a MAF programme to help reach our end goal, keeping MAF aircraft in the air. Please pray for Gift and other new candidates as they raise financial support to answer the call of God on their lives.
