Just for a moment…
Imagine you’re in a medical emergency, but the nearest help is several days away, because mountains, rivers and swamps surround you…
Did you know that millions of people suffer because they are simply isolated?
When you can’t reach a hospital, you don’t have the choice of receiving medical attention. Furthermore, when yoy don’t have access to schools, you don’t have an opportunity to receive an education. Most importantly, when you have never heard of the gospel, you have no true hope on earth or in eternity.
Isolation is a problem. This is because there is a direct correlation between living in isolation and chronic poverty.
So one flight can change everything. Here’s how…
HOW WE HELP
For people in isolation, one flight can mean the difference between life and death….
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Rom 10:14) This is especially true for isolated people groups.
To tell them about the love of Jesus and the powerful message of the Gospel, we are reaching remote communities and unreached people groups (UPG).
For this reason, our pilots, engineers, and every other staff member in the field are missionaries! They are called to their work and have a passion to serve in ministry.
In addition, our aircraft carry thousands of other missionaries to help complete the mission given to the church in Acts 1:8.
There is so much trauma and fear during a disaster. Because of this, many people in this desparate situation feel out of control. They face the possibility of death while, at the same time, they’re dealing with the reality of having lost friends and family, their homes, their livelihoods and a future that needs completely rebuilding.
When a disaster strikes in a place that already has poor infrastructure, the wake of the disaster may not even reach the news. That is why our disaster response teams are continually assessing the threat a storm or conflict might pose. Thanks to this, they are often dispatched before the disaster hits. Preparedness enables an immediate response and alerts governments, the media NGOs, and other disaster response teams across the world to act fast.
For this reason, our teams conduct survey flights, setup remote communication networks and assist other organisations in delivering food, medicine, shelter and personnel.
Aid and Development
As a result of flying over 2000 organisations around the world, we are able to meet the needs of the local community. But why so many? Because each country, each community have their own needs. And the organisations we fly will specialise in meeting those needs.
For example, we might fly to enable a 3D printing lab in South Sudan, producing limbs for those who have lost them through war; education materials and personnel might be flown across jungles in Papua New Guinea; water wells might be developed in Chad; Plumpy’Nut might be carried to malnourished children in war-torn South Sudan. You get the gist…it’s very specific and very diverse.
OUR VISION & MISSION
To see isolated people changed by the love of Christ.
Serving together to bring help, hope and healing through aviation.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
Our belief is that the Lord Jesus Christ is true God and true man, was virgin born, lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of humanity, bodily resurrected and ascended to heaven where He sits as our advocate, and will personally return in power and glory.
We believe that God desires the salvation of lost and sinful people by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and accomplished through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering them for godly living, service and witness.
Our belief is in the unity of all believers in the Church, the body of Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal separation from God.
Impact: We value ministry that transforms lives and multiplies the effectiveness of those we serve, seizing opportunities to serve the living God in a fast-changing world.
Witness: We value Christ-like behaviour in the way we work and relate to one another and to those we serve. Because of this, we have respect and care for all people and have compassion for those in need. We are sensitive to cultural differences and have a servant attitude.
Excellence: We value integrity, professionalism, safety and competence in all areas and believe that all our work should honour and glorify Christ.
Partnership: We value the strength and diversity that co-operation and collaboration bring and partner with those who share our beliefs and values.
Stewardship: We value the wise use of our resources and carefully balance the benefits of investments with the costs involved.
Care: We value the personal and spiritual wellbeing of our people. This means that we respect, care and pray for one another.
To obey the Word and will of God: to love the Lord our God with all our soul and strength and our neighbours as ourselves and to make growing disciples of all nations. We are on mission, flying for life.
