Grow Their Future
In the forgotten jungles of Papua New Guinea, a trio of unforgettable goods grow...
.
Sorita is a small community in the isolated heart of PNG. Though cut off from the outside world, this region rests on treasures sought after by millions across the globe: chocolate, peanuts, and coffee.
Each harvest sold by farmers like Norman Mondo, Bos Kiwlsipa, and Gobu Oropha becomes schoolbooks for their children, clothes for their families, and food on their tables.
But it’s not your demand for their precious crops that will keep them alive. It’s the fact that you can make it possible for their harvest to reach a town.
With vs. Without MAF: The Difference Your Donations Make
Without MAF, farmers in Sorita must walk days over bush tracks to reach the nearest road, carrying 50kg-60kg bags of crops on their backs, with no reliable way to support their families and no guarantee their harvest will sell.
With MAF, that same journey becomes a 30‑minute flight, giving farmers a lifeline to market.
MAF also helps identify potential buyers in advance, securing sales for farmers and enabling them to provide food and education for their families.
You can be the difference. Be the reason MAF aircraft keep arriving.
Norman's Story
Norman – a leading cacao farmer in Karimui District
‘Karimui has no road link, we fly on plane alone.
‘You have to walk on bush tracks for two days before you reach the nearest road to Goroka town – the centre for the Eastern Highlands Province. It’s too far and not suitable to carry heavy loads of dried cacao beans.
‘It is through plane that we access everything: our buying and selling is through plane alone.’
Bos – a peanut farmer
‘When we plant peanuts, our goal is to help support our children go to school.
‘There are no roads to towns. MAF is our way to take our produce out. I do not have any way to earn money, so I plant peanuts. With this, I fly with MAF to sell my produce.
‘MAF comes and supports us to fly our peanuts. This removes our burden.’
Gobu – a coffee farmer
‘Since I was a child, coffee has been our lifeline. We filled hundreds of 50kg bags of coffee, but there was no way out.
‘Now MAF flies my coffee, the income supports my ten children – it pays for fees, books and clothes.
‘I thank God for MAF – they make a huge difference in this country.’
Be the reason MAF aircraft keep arriving.
