Who Are MAF?

Mission

Mission Aviation Fellowship South Africa, working in Southern Africa, is a ministry team centred in Jesus Christ. As part of His church, we actively seek to witness the Gospel of Christ and extend His Kingdom through the use of aviation; by providing an efficient and effective air service to the Church, and strategically positioning our staff for ministry and witness worldwide. We are part of a world-wide organisation operating in over 40 countries. In Africa there are programmes active in 22 countries. 

Our purpose is to multiply the effectiveness of the church using aviation and logistical support, to help overcome barriers in reaching the world for Christ.

That all people have access to both the Gospel and resources that advance God's

Statement of Faith

We believe in : 

The divine inspiration of the Bible which is inerrant in the original writings and of supreme and final authority in faith and practice. 
 
One God, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  

The creation of man in the divine image, his subsequent fall through sin resulting in universal guilt and total depravity, and the consequent necessity of personal salvation through Christ. 

The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God and His personal return.
 
The personality of the Holy Spirit, by Whose regenerative work sinful man is born again, and by Whose indwelling regenerate man is enable to live a Godly life.
 
The resurrection of just and the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
 
The spiritual unity of all believers as comprising the true Church which has the duty to preach the Gospel to every creature.
